‘The Force of Nature’ was the inspiration for the most recent creations by Junkers & Müllers. The company says colours and structures of the new fabrics are reminiscant of reeds, bast, bark and grasses.
But there are also new, daring interpretations of the nature theme, with strong trend colours and prints that offer an entirely different and innovative approach to the natural look.
The nature theme represents homeliness, sophistication and timelessness and is therefore a long runner. With regards to interior sun shading products, the look of natural fibres is highly desirable but its disadvantages make it less suitable. Materials that can offer the technological finesse of man-made fibres but look stylish nonetheless are in high demand. And this is exactly the focus of Junkers & Müllers’ latest creations.
The Dakar fabric was developed with a special weaving technology that creates a true bast look. The natural feel of the material is combined with all the advantages of a polyester fabric, such as dimensional stability, cut resistance, consistent quality and colours as well as light fastness. Dakar is available in four natural shades and is suitable for use in roller blinds as well as panel tracks.
Valencia looks like woven reed. A special filament creates a natural, changeable weave image against the light as well as in direct view. The fabric is available in five natural shades and suitable for use in roller blinds and panel tracks.
Lima is a material of highly textile character. Varying yarn strengths create a natural-looking weave reminiscent of linen. Natural colours are enhanced by a large selection of strong ethno-style trend colours which offer an interesting contrast to the fabric’s underlying structure. A number of colours are also available as semi-blackouts with a coloured foam-coated reverse. A total of 14 colours are available for roller blinds, pleats and panel tracks.
Tunis is characterised by an extensive pearl print which provides a strong negative contrast to the linen-look of the base fabric. The positive/negative effect of the stylised leaf motif further enhances the contrasts within the material. Overall, the interplay of opposites creates a harmonious, special look. The design was developed specifically for use in panel tracks but can also be used for roller blinds. Tunis’ metallic prints shimmer in three colours: violet, gold and turquoise while the prints are easily combined with plain tracks in the linen base colour.
