Markilux has updated its awning configurator which enables users to  compose the perfect awning depending on the individual requirements

The main purpose of an awning is sun protection. It should complement a house façade in the same way as a perfectly fitting item of clothing.

The aim therefore is to find the perfect awning for the specific house it is to be fitted to. The awning configurator, free PC software from markilux, has been used for a number of years as an essential tool to this end.

This system has been designed to allow users to experiment on their own computer with shapes and colours, combining different types of houses and patios – from the comfort of their own home. A new version of this practical program has been available since May.

In addition to being able to install the software on a computer, users can in future also create their dream awning online.


Convenient new functions
In the new version, all functions and selection options are clearly presented in a screen window.

The awning remains constantly displayed even when the colour or fabric is changed. All awning components are displayed in detail together with their functions. There is also the option to choose between four different fixed angles of view (cameras), zoom in and move freely within the scene using an additional camera setting.

A new feature is the view from the living room out on to the balcony or patio. The perfect awning can be selected to suit individual lifestyles in keeping with the specific type of house in question, in a virtual environment and with greater convenience.
