Swift blinds has been manufacturing its Shadeshield Solar film roller blinds in Huddersfield for over 30 years. The blinds, made from a polyester film similar to the directly applied adhesive window film, offer great performance alongside what the company calls modern aesthetically pleasing looks. Whilst allowing optically good outward vision during normal daylight conditions, the blind also provides all the protection required to reduce heat and glare ensuring the perfect interior environment for work and leisure.
The blinds provide similarly high performance to the film whilst importantly, offering the flexibility of being positioned up or down. This helps to reduce energy costs in both the summer and winter months. The range of Shadefilms offer up to 98 per cent glare reduction and 91 per cent total solar energy rejection. The complete range reduces UV light transmission by over 97 per cent, helping to protect furnishings and display goods from premature fading. The main areas of use are shop windows, offices, airport towers, crane and ship cabins as well as in the home and conservatory. The shadefilm is ideally suited to the new perfect fit roller system from Louvolite. Newly launched in 2008 was the first fully tested Fr version of the film for use in public establishments such as education and healthcare. Standard specification blinds are manufactured on the Louvolite 32 and 40mm system for quality and longevity of use. Cassette systems are available if required, as is motorised operation.
