Interior designers can say good bye to minimalistic finishes and embrace comfort and indulgence according to Decora. The company says emphasis is given to understated elegance, character and charm. With this trend in mind Decora has added two new additions to its luxurious basswood venetian collection, Timberlux. The Distressed Collection features high texture wood grain, taking it’s inspiration from nature, whilst the Metallic Collection adds a touch of glamour to any room. Worn and distressed woods offer an artisan quality that is strong in character and charm. The use of drift wood and unfinished woods is becoming more apparent and dependant on their surroundings they can create what the company calls an eclectic charm, warm country style chic or a contemporary wood on wood mix. The Distressed Collection is available in 50mm slat and offers a choice of three colours; vintage Almond, charismatic Cool Oak and seductive Dark Walnut. Metallic tones are indispensable this season, with everyone from fashion designers to paint manufacturers tapping into the gold rush. Interior design trends show a fusion of old and new – mixing traditional design with elegant metallic or reflective finishes. Flat, matt textures are being replaced with shiny gloss finishes. The Timberlux Metallic Collection is an exclusive range of basswood venetian blinds featuring a high metallic finish. Lack lustre windows can be transformed to glamorous centre pieces with the rich and vibrant tones. Decora says Timberlux Metallic blinds will offer a luxurious finish to both traditional and modern rooms. This collection is available in 50mm slat only and offers a choice of three metallic tones; Platinum, Antique Gold and Fired Copper.
