The markilux awning configurator is a highly practical tool, which enables both dealers and customers to design the markilux awning of their choice on a PC using free software.

It is now possible to design and combine, in addition to the 12 folding-arm awnings, window and conservatory awnings to suit individual tastes. A simple click on one of the three awning types displays a settings menu. This can be used to select the required awning model, frame colour and cover pattern. All the settings can be displayed via an additional menu position.

The markilux visulizer is a unique innovation. It is now possible to load a digital photo of one's own house façade into the computer program. However, the facade must be photographed from the front at a distance of 8 to 10 metres. It is also important that the camera and subject are horizontally aligned and that there are no disturbing objects between the two and as little shade as possible. Photos should be taken either in the morning or with as little cloud as possible. For a true-to-scale image, the software also requires a reference dimension, such as a window or door height.

With the entered data, the program generates a 3D image which allows the appearance and function of the awning to be viewed on the monitor. Four camera positions can be selected via an integrated virtual remote control. The free camera function also offers the option to navigate freely around the scene. Once a selection has been made, all settings and dimensions can be printed out, which makes discussion with the specialist dealer much easier.

The new awning configurator and markilux visulizer can be ordered on DVD or downloaded from the internet. The DVD also contains the markilux sundial, which demonstrates the exact amount of shade your awning will throw.
