 A ban on smoking in all public places will take effect in England on July 1st 2007with many pub and restaurant owners fearing a considerable loss of business as a result. Lighting up a cigarette at the table after your meal, or at the bar will no longer be acceptable.
However, it will still be OK to smoke outside and Harol has anticipated an increased demand for solutions to this problem and have four sun protection systems that are ideal for hotels, restaurants and pubs.A terrace awning, folding-arm awning or butterfly awning can provide suitable protection, the Storelight with integrated heating can create the right atmosphere, transforming the terrace into an extension of the building, where customers can smoke a cigarette at their ease after a meal without disturbing anybody. Gusty winds, glaring sunlight, or an unexpected downburst “ with a covered terrace, you can laugh at these inconveniences. Harol terrace awnings are specifically designed to cover large areas and can be furnished with side screens if desired. A building with a terrace awning always makes a good impression, and the large fabric area is ideal for printing brand names or logos. Another attractive feature is that Harol offers various options, such as rain gutters, intermediate rolls to support the fabric on longer projections, and a storm profile that prevents vertical flapping of the fabric with wind gusts. Just like every Harol awning, the TR850 also has the patented Clip-On/Clip-off system, which lets you replace and secure the fabric in a minimum of time. In the extension pole, a spring system is built in, which ensures that at all times “ both moving and still “ the fabric remains completely taut. Folding-arm awning
For terraces located along a wall where there is not enough room for the truss work of a terrace awning, a folding-arm awning is the best solution. The LX530 is one of the most performing models. With it's 4m projection, this square bar awning can cover an area up to 48m2 with only one fabric (four arms). A serial bottom board and an optional rear board fully seal the whole of the awning so it becomes a fully enclosed cassette. The motorised high drop valance can be operated with the same remote control as the awning.#
Butterfly awning
If the terrace does not border on a wall, the butterfly awning is a good solution. The DS315 is freestanding solar shading, which can cover a surface up to 36m2. The two folding arm awnings are attached to a galvanized steel frame and provide the right amount of shade at all times. This frame can be fitted on the terrace in three different ways: using a stand with a wide base; in this way the Duostore can stand independently; using a central support to be fastened to the terrace floor; or using a central support to be fixed in concrete or in solid ground. As an option, the DS315 can be completed with a manually operated high drop valance. The Duostore can easily be operated with a crank handle with eye.
Cosy and warm, even in the winter
Light is one of the best ways to create the right mood on your terrace, especially when it gets dark outside. For this reason, Harol offers the Storelight lighting system, which can be fitted to folding-arm awnings, butterfly awnings and terrace awnings. The Storelight system consists of four halogen spotlights, which can be swivelled in all directions over an angle of 25 degrees. The system is available in lengths of 2.5m and 3.5m. There is also a model with built-in heating elements, specially designed for cool weather. As you can see, Harol doesn't leave smokers out in the cold.
