With the imminent smoking ban approaching in July 2007 Markilux has several new products on offer in January. Many of the major breweries are using Markilux awnings and fabrics already and the company's partners old and new are revelling in the new products from Markilux aimed specifically at the al-fresco market.
Nano coated Sunsilk fabric is proving a winner with the trade, enabling specification to be registered with the brewery architects and designers. With the launch of the 6000 in to the market Markilux has surpassed all targets and, in 2006, had the best year ever for the company which, when you produce the amounts of awnings Markilux manufacture is a difficult thing to do. The year started badly with the weather and we wondered if it was going to improve, but production was soon up to 600 a day and all of the company's partners have had a wonderful year and are looking forward to 2007. The smoking ban has had a dramatic effect on sales of the 8000 which is being used as the roof for exterior dining and smoking. Markilux is never one to sit on its laurels and will launch products in the New Year to ensure that its partners are at the forefront of the drive for major penetration of the market.
Scotland has seen a big increase in sales of products and has highlighted the need for better quality awnings to withstand the rigors of the weather and hard usage of the products. Markilux is over the moon with the response to its range and the feedback from its partners, especially people who have changed to us from other suppliers. They love the idea of 'fit and forget' and not having to go back and re-adjust cords or pulleys on the product. Best of all the fitters are happy with all the little things Markilux do to make their life easy, because it is our policy to ensure that not only is the product beautiful to look at and extremely strong, but is a 'doddle' to fit. So if you are serious about awnings take a look at Markilux and see how serious we are about them too.
