The Education market - new opportunities?
Recent research conducted by the universities of Cambridge and Essex has concluded that bright classroom lighting can give pupils headaches and made it harder for them to concentrate. According to the BBC website, the author of the report Dr Mark Winterbottom commented  "A quarter of classrooms did not have blinds, and in half of those that did, blinds were either broken or at least one was missing."

Report heralds franchise boom

 Apollo Blinds has welcomed the publication of Mintel's new Window Furnishings and Accessories report which says that the industry's sales hit an all-time high of £445 million in 2006.  The report puts the growth in demand down to blinds being easy to maintain and the trend for simple and casual decor in the home.

Apollo Blinds' general manager Patrick Harrison is delighted that such an authoritative study has highlighted how prosperous the industry is and expects a glut of enquiries from people who will want to start their own franchise business with his company's network.
