As the chimps and penguins looked on, all manner of issues were overcome by Blinds Solutions on a window covering project at Colwyn Bay mountain zoo!  When Colwyn Bay mountain zoo recently refurbished its prestigious mountain-top restaurant to provide an upmarket environment for corporate events, it turned to Blind Solutions to solve the window covering problem. The brief was that it had to be very contemporary, offering light and heat control as well as providing privacy plus the windows were a little on the large size measuring 4 x 2.5m.

Blind Solutions’ owner Steve Whitehead explained: “We were approached by the arcdhitects and interior designer handling the project as they had heard of our exclusive range of woodweave fabrics. Our suite design fitted the bill perfectly, particularly pleasing the interior designer. The restaurant overlooks the chimpanzee paddock and penguin pool as well as affording stunning views of the sea and Snowdonia. The chimps were most inquisitive on fit out day and I am thinking of employing a couple of them as they are much better at heights than some of my lads!”
