Broadview designed and developed a 10 x 4m terrace frame awning system for Tapper Funeral Services’ Harbour Lodge facility which has almost doubled the floor space and provided more guests with a comfortable environment in a peaceful setting  Renowned for creating innovative shading solutions for any business requirement, Broadview was appointed by Tapper Funeral Services to design and install a bespoke undercover facility at the funeral directors’ Harbour Lodge establishment based within the Harbour View Woodland Burial and Memorial Grounds, Lytchett Minster.Harbour Lodge is a facility in which to hold a service of thanksgiving, have refreshments afterwards or to simply shelter in during a visit to the Grounds. In order to accommodate extra guests, Tapper Funeral Services required a facility that would efficiently provide protection from the weather and extend the Lodge as and when required. Following a consultation with the management team to establish the most suitable product design, fabric and colour, Broadview set about developing and installing a bespoke 10 by 4m terrace frame awning system on to a wooden decked area that would provide a light, bright and comfortable environment, helping to create a place of peace and solitude. Built with a strong aluminium wood-effect framework and incorporating heating and lights, the terrace frame awning has a waterproof green canvas cover with side panels. With its wood-effect framework, the awning complements the look of the Lodge as well as the surrounding landscape. The product is fully retractable enabling the roof to be drawn back completely, using a remote control, and the side panels to be manually folded up as and when required. The awning creates an extensive undercover facility to accommodate an additional 60 seated guests for a service and also acts as an area, which can be enclosed or open, where guests can gather and have refreshments. Rachel Lawton, cemetery manager, said: “Our new awning almost doubles the floor space and enables us to provide our guests with a comfortable environment in a peaceful setting. We are extremely impressed with Broadview’s service.
