| Faber takes control |

Faber Blinds has supplied and fitted radio-controlled blackout blinds in a new multi-purpose performing arts studio at Edgbaston High School for Girls – a large independent girls school near Birmingham catering for over 900 pupils. This recently completed building, designed by the Malcolm Payne Group, is octagonal in shape with a pitched roof rising to a ceiling height of 14 metres and incorporates the latest technology for acoustics and lighting. Blinds were required to replace the blackout curtains originally supplied in order to achieve maximum light exclusion. The blinds installed are the Faber 2000 series, electrically operated, blackout roller blinds. They are controlled remotely by radio control from a central lectern in the room, and coupled so a single motor operates two blinds. Faber Blinds says specialises in solar shading requirements and has a long track record in the education sector from state and PFI to public schools and colleges.
