Shading Products UK explains the business model that’s helped it succeed throughout the recession
Despite the tough economic climate, only two years from its inception, Shading Products UK is going from strength to strength.
As the main UK distributor of the Gibus range of terrace covers, and sole UK distributor of Winsol products, Shading Products UK has a full range of outdoor solutions products to meet the needs of both the domestic and commercial markets, whatever the budget.
In addition to offering a strong product range, Shading Products UK has invested heavily in supporting the retailer.
Duncan Chapman, managing director of Shading Products UK, explains: “A good product range which is strong and durable is essential but we also understand the importance of assisting our retailers throughout the year.
“We have developed a retailer support package, which we believe to be the best in the UK. Survey, product and installation training, key sales advice and tips, and assistance with marketing campaigns are just a few [of the services offered]. We have compiled them all in our retailer manual, which details everything you need to know.” Recognising that the needs of domestic and commercial customers are very different, SPUK has also produced two separate retail brochures: one targeted specifically for domestic and one for commercial customers.
