Louvolite talks to Blinds & Shutters about the way Perfect Fit has ‘revolutionised’ the industry and the  developments which  now offer further benefits

Over the last few years Louvolite’s Perfect Fit window blind programme has totally revolutionised the way that our industry installs window blinds to double-glazed windows and doors.

Perhaps no example illustrates this better than the way Perfect Fit products have absolutely transformed the measuring and installation of blinds to conservatories.

An important support programme to Perfect Fit is the computer programme designed to work in conjunction with it. This provides full manufacturing bills of materials and detailed diagrams to manufacturing companies using Perfect Fit. This is of particular use when shaped blinds are being used within conservatory or atrium roof systems.

A further development has now resulted in significant savings being available in the manufacturing costs of Perfect Fit roof systems – by as much as up to 50 per cent reduction.

Historically, Perfect Fit allows each individual window shape to be fitted with a blind perfectly manufactured to fit within the frame. With the new option customers can choose to install one frame that can cover two individual windows – Louvolite refer to this as a ‘one over two (½)’ installation and says it looks absolutely stunning. It also reduces the component and manufacturing cost for the Perfect Fit programme and results in fewer actual blinds being installed in the system which of course also results in lower installation times.

Louvolite will be showing the one over two blinds in situ using motorised units at the forthcoming Showcase in Coventry – no doubt Perfect Fit aficionados will think of a fabulous new name for it – how about Perfect Fit Plus?
