Luxaflex talks to Blinds & Shutters about how the company has overcome the ‘environmental concerns’ attached to wood venetians with its new collection

“The wood venetian blind has long been thought of as a ‘design classic’; simple, stylish and chic, but it also has environmental concerns attached to it.

“Luxaflex has taken this into consideration with the introduction of its new collection that focuses on the provenance of the wood and uses mainly FSC woods which come from sustainable managed forests.

“There are over 50 different wood types to choose from in the new collection, plus a choice of varying slat sizes from 25mm width to the oversized 68mm Colonial wood blinds.

“Luxaflex has also introduced some exciting new wood finishes into the collection including High Gloss, Piano wood and new designer crackle and distressed effect woods as well as several new painted woods in colours such as Gardinea, Aqua Spray and Alice Blue. In addition Luxaflex will continue to offer its popular custom colour service to a specified paint colour to match walls and window frames.

“And for those who prefer not to buy wood at all there is now a new faux wood selection which comes in a wide range of colours and finishes.

“And to personalise their blinds there is a wide array of finishing options to choose from including a stunning range of decorative and plain tape colours and a dramatic metal Fusion finishing option (available on all Luxaflex wood Venetian Blinds) which sees wooden slats combined with sleek aluminium components, giving the blind an individual, contemporary aesthetic.Retail prices start from £76.”
