There’s always an angle

Blinds will transform a conservatory from a "summer special" to a room that can be enjoyed all year round.  Not only do they add privacy, but they also give a room warmth, insulation and a fashionable decorative touch, which also provides a shield from the watery glare of a low winter sun

Cosiflor Pleated Blinds, part of the Blöcker product range in Germany, is renowned throughout Europe for the production of material to be used in various applications including conservatory blinds.

The collections offer an extensive collection of both high performance and high fashion; made-to-measure blinds which are both decorative and durable.
Of considerable importance to the company are roof and angled installations. This is a major area of business for the company with 70 per cent of business in the UK dealing with blinds in this sector.  The roof is where heat is at its greatest level; light and heat reflection is also high as the angle allows the sun to beat down.

Perlex with a pearlized coating offers a high reflective property and is also stain repellent. Cosiflor ranges include Flame retardant Pearlized fabrics – Cosiflor is one of the few companies offering this. It is essential for roof systems to operate as easily as possible and perform well. Cosiflor is well known in the marketplace for specific installations with complicated angles.

All shapes of Cosiflor Pleated-Blinds are given a special treatment exclusive to the company that is ideal for slope, trapezoid, pentagonal, triangular and hexagonal installations. Instead of the usual “fan” effect on the shutting or opening of the blinds, Cosiflor Pleated-Blinds are more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, as when the blind is open a flat clean line is seen.  This is due to the fact that the tension cord is placed in such a way to follow the outside of the fabric that in turn follows the line of the window. (This has a European patent.)

The Company offers 20mm fabric pleats and  slim aluminium profiles. The joint benefit from these two features is that the pleated blind will fit very neatly within the glazing bars rather than resting on the top.

For ease of use there are a number of options; the recently introduced motorised version – an electronic remote control system; crank or operating rod. Research and development is continuing in Germany to further develop the options available as it is essential for roof systems to operate as easily as possible and perform to a high level.

Cosiflor provide blinds for any shape, style or size of conservatory and for all styles of window opening – even tilt and turn.

As the days get colder – and provided there is a comfortable level of heating – blinds will help maximise the potential of the lightest room in the house. And as the nights get darker, they will help transform it into a private and inviting leisure room, reflecting and diffusing the light to provide a warm glow.
