Unusual print designs in pigment and puff print interpret the ethno theme in a most modern way. JM’s ethno-series encompasses three base quality grades: Santiago, Palma and Marrakech. The company says Santiago has a fine repp structure that can be recognised both on the surface as well as through the fabric and therefore lends the plain material an interesting, lively look. An additional five brown and earth tones were also added to the existing colour range. The single-colour fabrics are complemented by pigment and puff prints whereby the print develops special shading characteristics through the structure of the base product. The tone-on-tone tendril design can be delivered in five colour combinations and merges the core themes of ethno, nature and structure into one whilst simultaneously achieving a sophisticated look. Two different puff print designs – one linear, one slightly more playful – round off the Santiago pallet. In addition to the textile look and feel, the 3-D effect of the puff print offers an interesting interplay between light and shadow on the surface but also retains the distinctive design when looking through the fabric. The colours of the single-colour and printed fabrics are coordinated to optimise combination opportunities. Marrakech stands out through various material and structural effects. This yarn-coloured product is available in four ethno-colours that are based on warm spice tones. The coarse woven structure provides an interesting contrast to the slightly shiny surface, which reminds of bast or raw silk. This changeable effect further adds to the sophisticated look of the fabric. All items are suitable for roller blinds as well as panel tracks.

At last year’s Heimtextil, Junkers & Müllers centred on its new roller blind collection, among others, on an ethnic theme. The company succeeded at developing new, harmonious designs and has translated these trendy styles for its roller blind range. The result is a series of plain colour fabrics whose combination of effect yarns and structure helps them come into their own.
